Finding the perfect way to enjoy audiobooks at work can be a challenge. You need something that won’t drain your phone battery, something that won’t be interrupted by loud ads, and something that can play seamlessly in the background. For me, the solution has been YouTube Premium.

While YouTube might not be the first place you think of for audiobooks, it’s a treasure trove of narrated stories. The biggest game-changer with a Premium subscription is the ability to listen with my phone’s screen off. This means I can tuck my phone away and immerse myself in a story without worrying about accidental touches or battery drain. And, of course, there are absolutely no ad interruptions, which is essential for staying focused on the narrative.

But the benefits don’t stop there. My subscription also includes YouTube Music, a fantastic service that I use for times I can not put focus on a book. It’s like getting a top-tier music streaming service for free. I can create playlists for different moods or tasks, and just like with the main YouTube app, I can download content for offline listening. This is perfect for my commute or any time I’m without a reliable internet connection.

If you’re looking for a versatile, ad-free listening experience that goes beyond just audiobooks, I can’t recommend YouTube Premium enough. It’s an investment that has paid for itself many times over in uninterrupted listening pleasure, both at my machine and on the go.
