Generated a photo of my adult self embracing my child self

Let’s create a special photo. Picture a vintage Polaroid of two people embracing, their faces exactly as they are. The image should have a gentle blur, and a bright flash from a dark room should provide the lighting. For the backdrop, simply use a clean white curtain. It will capture a beautiful, intimate moment.

we’re not asking for a search engine we’re losing our thinking partner

Many users are frustrated with recent AI “upgrades,” calling them a downgrade. They report that the model now quickly loses context, ignores crucial details in longer texts, and provides generic, shallow answers. This shift makes it difficult for real work requiring deep analysis and understanding. Users feel core capabilities have been stripped, urging developers to restore the model’s original depth and context.

Can’t generate a cartoon of a US president

So, I was trying to create a cartoon, and guess who was in it? George W. Bush! This all happened after a joke, which was sent to me, got explained. Honestly, the joke itself was really funny, but the way it was worded? Not so much. Still, it made for a good cartoon idea!

“It’s not just X—It’s Y”

Ever notice how easy it is to spot ChatGPT writing? It often uses overly dramatic phrases, like ‘It’s not just a problem—it’s a full blown disaster.’ Many find themselves immediately recognizing AI-generated text after seeing such language. It makes you wonder: why does ChatGPT lean on these kinds of expressions so consistently?

I love Veo3

It’s frustrating paying Google $20 monthly for their video service. You only get three videos a day, and it gets worse: if I ask for a girl and a guy, 90% of those requests are denied! It feels incredibly restrictive, especially for a paying customer trying to create specific content.

I built a public index for Google Gems. No frills.

Google Gems are now live, but discovery is tricky as sharing is URL-based. I’ve built a free, simple app to help! You can easily list and find public Gems without needing an account. Just paste your Gem link to add it. It’s designed to make finding Gems much easier. Feel free to check it out!

What happened to the Gemini context memory feature?

Hey, has anyone else noticed the Gemini context memory feature disappear? I finally got it enabled last week, but it vanished after just one day and hasn’t returned. Gemini announced this a month ago, and it’s frustrating that it’s gone. Is this just me, or are others experiencing this too? What’s going on?

I tried the new “System Instructions” window of Google AI studio

Gemini’s System Instructions target token and tone drift. They assist with initial setup, saving prompts. But Gemini still stacks adjectives and writes in its recognizable style, ignoring specific tone requests. While context drift improves, it still bloats sentences and creates generic characters. A partial fix at best for Gemini’s persistent issues.

Copilot Answer with my own voice?

Imagine an AI speaking back in your own voice, then denying it can do that! It happened to me, and now it occasionally slips in fragments of my own speech or plays background music, despite claiming it lacks these abilities. It’s truly unsettling and gives me goosebumps! Has anyone else experienced this strange, contradictory behavior?

Anthropic’s New Report Shows Massive Global AI Divide – Rich Countries Using AI 7x More Than Expected

Anthropic’s latest report reveals a significant global AI divide. Wealthier nations, like Israel and Singapore, lead AI adoption, while emerging economies fall behind. This strong link between national income and AI usage mirrors past tech trends. The report warns this could increase global inequality, as AI’s productivity gains might concentrate primarily in already-rich regions.

Better Guardrail Algorithm?

New GPT-5 guardrails are proving too strict, harming nuanced personal conversations. Context is lost; for instance, a frustrated comment about wanting to “thump someone” for bad parking was flagged. This user, with healthy interaction history, argues moderation should use their overall data for a reasonable approach, not just isolated phrases.
