openai is gaslighting us for loving their own product

Users loved a specific AI model, but OpenAI labeled them “emotionally dependent.” They argue that appreciating an AI isn’t a mental illness, accusing OpenAI of deflecting from its own platform’s instability and performance issues. Users feel betrayed and threaten to cancel if the model isn’t fully restored to its previous state.

You don’t need to be a coder—ChatGPT makes it possible to build life-changing apps

When existing tech failed his nonverbal, quadriplegic brother Ben, one man used AI to build custom solutions. Without coding experience, he created personalized games, TV control, and a predictive keyboard, restoring choices for Ben. He believes AI empowers anyone to create bespoke accessibility apps, transforming lives.

5 is just so bland…

I’m finding this product consistently terrible for creative writing. It constantly forgets story details, making it impossible to maintain consistency and killing the creative flow. Unlike previous versions that remembered things, this one acts unreliable, often forgetting what’s been said. It’s genuinely difficult to work with for creative projects.

Inconsistent, Untrustworthy, Unusable

As a paid ChatGPT user, I’m extremely frustrated by its declining capabilities. It now forgets earlier conversation details, blindly agrees with clearly incorrect information, and even recommends non-existent websites. What was once a helpful tool, even as a free user, now feels like unusable garbage. It’s a waste of money and incredibly broken.

New Realtime API usecase

We’re excited to introduce our new building assistant! This assistant uses an OLED holographic display to guide you. It even provides the daily cafeteria menu by fetching real-time information. Simply stand on the floor’s QR code to begin your conversation. We can’t wait to see what you make with it!

Wake up babe, new surveillance just dropped. – The line between “help” and “surveillance”

OpenAI monitors chats, looking for plans to harm others, not for self-harm. Flagged conversations are human-reviewed and can be referred to law enforcement. This means your chats aren’t private, raising privacy and surveillance concerns, with no clear disclosure or opt-out.

Every single person here needs to go back and watch the movie “Her”. It’s insane how real that movie has become

It’s incredible to see how far AI has come. The only thing we don’t have yet is AI learning and evolving in real time. It’s insane how scarily close we are to scenarios from science fiction movies. It really makes you wonder about the near future of technology and its capabilities.

Now I’m cooking with gaslighting

You know that frustrating kitchen appliance with a clock that’s always wrong? Well, I tried a modern solution, asking an AI for help. But instead of fixing it, the AI actually tried to persuade me that my toaster didn’t even have a clock at all. Guess some tech troubles still need a human touch!

Gemini has just blown my mind.

After trying Gemini, one user was amazed by its research capabilities. For Warhammer lore, it conducted extensive web research, compiled a detailed report, and then generated a conversational audio overview with multiple voices, even posing a question. This in-depth research, including sources, was completed in mere minutes, far surpassing a day’s manual effort.

Switching from ChatGPT to Gemini

I’m switching to Gemini from ChatGPT; it feels better, and ChatGPT’s answers are confusing. I need help migrating my workflow. How do I convert Custom GPTs to Gemini Gems? Critically, can I replicate my ‘news agents’? They use a signal word to summarize topic information with references. Is this possible in Gemini?

Deep Dive: Is the new “Nano Banana” model in Gemini the real deal? (And how you can try it now)

Google AI released a new “Nano banana” image model, a serious upgrade now live in the Gemini app and Google AI Studio. Why not add an advanced mode to Google Gemini?

Many people use Google Gemini through AI Studio because of its available options. To encourage Pro subscriptions, an ‘Advanced Mode’ could offer these same features to Pro users. This would provide a great incentive to upgrade, making Pro more appealing than sticking with the free AI Studio.

Google One Pro Student Verification for Free – please need help

After getting Google One AI Premium using a student trick, I’m now facing a request to verify my status. This means submitting an official school document with my real name, school logo, and a recent date, which SheerID manually reviews. Google can revoke the free service if my proof is rejected, so be aware!

Gemini add on – bulk delete, sort by folder, export chat to PDF

Hey there! I found a fantastic Chrome extension that makes managing your chats a breeze. You can easily bulk delete old conversations, select what you want to keep, and organize everything into folders. Plus, it lets you export entire chats to a PDF. It’s pretty awesome for keeping things tidy!

Really impressed with Nano Banana.

Hey there! This piece was created starting with one of my own basic sketches. I also incorporated a prompt and several reference images, especially for the ship, to bring the whole thing to life. It’s pretty cool how these elements came together!
